Job summary

Wastequip WRX – our Equipment Service Division – is seeking Mechanics who want to level up their career. We provide tools, training a truly great team and a work environment which allows you to not only be a mechanic, but a partner for our customers. Location: Lithia Springs, GA.

Hourly Rate Range: $23.59 to 35.78 (based on experience). Summary of essential job functions includes inspecting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, maintaining records, and keeping shop equipment

Qualifications

• 1 year of Truck or Heavy Equipment mechanic diagnosis experience required.
• 1 year of 12/24 volt electrical experience required.
• Ability to understand hydraulic and electrical schematics required.
• 1 year fabrication experience preferred.
• 1 year welding experience preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Waste collection equipment knowledge is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle condition by inspecting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Test engine, safety, and combustion control standards to meet regulations.
• Maintain vehicle appearance with cleaning, washing, painting.
• Record service and repairs in vehicle records.
• Keep shop equipment operating by troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Contain costs by using warranty options and evaluating parts.
• Increase knowledge by reading technical publications and training opportunities.
• Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders.
• Collaborate closely with coworkers and team members.
• Show integrity in self and work.
