Job summary

Wastequip’s mobile division has an immediate opportunity for a Welder /Service Mechanic to support Lithia Springs, GA. The role involves travel to customer sites for service and warranty repairs, with onsite work possible at the facility.

The pay range is $24.00 - $34.95 per hour, based on experience. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience as a Truck or Heavy equipment mechanic, welding proficiency, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic components, with strong

Qualifications

3-5 years’ experience as a Truck or Heavy equipment mechanic.
Able to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic components.
Chassis prep experience.
Welding experience required and proficiency in welding and fabricating.
General mechanical abilities with Diesel Trucks or Heavy Construction Equipment.
Must have good customer service skills.
Refuse (Waste Truck) experience preferred.
Ability to ride in a vehicle for long periods.

Responsibilities

Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
On the road performing service/warranty repairs at client sites; chassis hydraulic evaluation.
Repair engine and mechanical/electrical system malfunctions; replace parts.
Test drives to verify serviceability and adjust controls.
Follow safety and regulatory standards and maintain vehicle records.
Maintain shop equipment and manage supplies; perform preventive maintenance.
Assist in keeping costs down by evaluating warranty and parts options.
Participate in educational opportunities to increase job knowledge.
