Wastequip WRX – our Equipment Service Division – is seeking Mechanics to level up their career in Lithia Springs, GA. We provide tools, training, and a supportive team where you become a partner to our customers.

The job offers an hourly rate range of $23.59 to $35.78 based on experience, with benefits and ongoing development opportunities. Key functions include diagnosing and repairing mechanical/electrical systems, maintaining vehicle records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Truck or Heavy Equipment mechanic diagnosis (maintenance) experience.
• 1 year of 12/24 volt electrical experience.
• Ability to understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• 1 Year Fabrication Experience preferred.
• 1 Year Welding experience preferred.
• ASE certification is preferred.
• Waste collection equipment knowledge will be a large plus for this position.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
• Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
• Increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Ability to lift 50lbs plus, bend, stoop, kneel and climb ladders.
• Above all, must be able to work closely with co‑workers or other team members.
