Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Shop Technician to perform precise repairs on heavy machinery components within a well-equipped workshop in Utah. You will strive to meet flat-rate targets, maintain safety standards, and document all work orders and test results.

The role emphasizes quality, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of hands-on heavy equipment experience, and the ability to adapt to varied shifts.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair or related field; equivalent combos considered.
• Flexibility for varied schedules including shifts, weekends, and potential overtime.

Responsabilidades

• Complete assigned repair tasks efficiently and aim to meet or exceed flat-rate times.
• Follow safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace for all team members.
• Accurately complete work orders, parts orders, JSA, and data in DBS, SIMS, SIS Web, and STW.
• Enforce hazardous materials guidelines to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Remove/install machine parts, disassemble/reassemble components, and test/adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Provide accurate quotations and estimates by evaluating repair needs and resource requirements.
• Diagnose mechanical failures using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge, offering repair recommendations.
• Conduct testing and verification to confirm repairs before job closure.
• Apply failure analysis and standards to determine root causes and repair solutions.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors to communicate progress and best practices.
