Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Brunswick, GA is seeking a Rental Shop Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on a range of rental and customer equipment. You will also support safety, workflow, and reporting.

Ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read manuals, and a commitment to quality service; hands-on welding and diagnostic skills preferred; team environment with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, computer and mechanical systems, welding, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment diesel engines and components.
• Repair and replace components of frames, suspensions, drive trains, electrical systems, steering and braking.
• Determine extent of repairs and prepare service orders; tune engines and diagnose controls.
• Perform welding, fabricate parts, document work orders and time sheets accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in required safety programs.
