Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator - Heavy Equipment to safely operate at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on transferring, spreading, loading, and compacting waste or soil with attention to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include conducting equipment inspections, performing minor maintenance, monitoring waste quality, and ensuring a clean, safe work site. OSHA-regulated site experience and strong time management are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years' prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Good time management to complete duties safely and efficiently.
• Professional, courteous conduct toward customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of equipment per policy and ensure windows, lights, mirrors and rear view camera are clean.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader with proper safety standards.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials.
• Perform minor service on equipment and refer major repairs to Maintenance Shop.
• Complete Equipment Condition Report and report repairs to supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and ensure shop cleanliness at shift end.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
