Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, seeks an Equipment Operator to operate a range of heavy machinery for groundwork and construction projects. The role requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to follow Foreman guidance on daily tasks.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of related experience, a High School diploma or GED, and a valid CDL license with potential hazmat/tanker endorsements. Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends is often expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must possess valid CDL A/B license and may require hazmat/tanker endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights, safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
• Follow direction of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each project or site.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on proper operations, servicing, and repair of equipment.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
