Job summary

Texas Materials is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate a variety of groundwork and construction equipment in Texas. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and the ability to follow project-specific tasks as directed by supervisors.

Experience with excavators and loaders, plus willingness to travel and work nights or weekends when required, will support success in this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math for records and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Report problems to Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or HR Manager.
• Follow Foreman directions for daily tasks and project expectations.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; escalate major issues.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
