Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services in Indiana urgently seeks an Equipment Operator to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. You will operate heavy equipment, follow safety rules, and support daily field activities under Foreperson direction.

The role requires strong physical endurance, CDL/driver credentials, and readiness for storm-related travel; a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable about daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment used.
• Must possess physical strength and good balance to climb into and around mobile equipment.
• Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed.
• Must pass background check and drug screen; meet I-9 requirements; E-Verify compliant.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day’s work at Foreperson’s direction.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Assist other crew members and take a leadership role when required.
• Set up barriers and signs to protect employees and the public.
