Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking an Equipment Operator to handle heavy equipment used for removing branches and debris from electrical lines in the United States. The role requires operating equipment under Foreperson direction and contributing to daily maintenance and safety protocols.

The position emphasizes outdoor work, physical stamina, and adherence to PPE requirements, with opportunities to participate in storm restoration tasks and ensure safe, efficient field operations.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable about daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment used.
• Must possess physical strength and good balance to climb into and around mobile equipment.
• Must be able to enter and exit a vehicle multiple times daily.
• Must be able to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce safe practices and rules at all times.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day’s work as directed by Foreperson.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Assist crew members and take a leadership role when required.
• Clean up and dispose of debris and set up barriers or signs as needed.
• Report mileage to Foreperson and support storm work as required.
