Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. Applicants should have three years of tractor or forestry mower experience and be capable of outdoor work in varying weather.

This full-time role requires passing a background check and drug screen, plus valid DL and CDL with DOT card for trucks over 26,000 lbs. Health insurance and 401K are offered.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience on a tractor or forestry mower.
• Prior heavy equipment operating experience in vegetation management or related fields preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Always follow safe practices and enforce safety rules
• Prepare equipment and materials for daily work with Foreperson guidance
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations
• Assist crew and take leadership when required
• Cleans up and disposes of debris
• Set up barriers, signs, and markers to protect staff and public
• Keeps informed on new equipment, procedures, and safety policies
• Track and report mileage to Foreperson
• Perform duties for storm work as needed
