Job summary

GFL Environmental Services is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to load, haul, and place processed material at a Kentucky site. You will operate bobcat, backhoe, excavator, water truck, compactor and steer equipment, performing inspections and routine maintenance daily.

The role requires safety-minded individuals who can work outdoors year-round, communicate effectively with the team, and comply with all laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment including bobcat, backhoe and excavator.
• Ability to perform daily inspections and safety checks.
• Must wear PPE and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to load, haul, and place processed material.
• Perform inspection and maintenance checks daily.
• Grease, lubricate, and check fluids; respond to maintenance needs.
• Communicate with team using two-way radio and follow safety rules.
• Attend safety meetings and adhere to company policies.
