Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Cincinnati, OH. This role requires operating various heavy machinery on site, performing inspections, routine maintenance, and coordinating with customers. Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ experience and be able to pass equipment certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment such as excavator, backhoe, dozer or off-road truck.
• Must pass written and operational tests to be certified on each piece of heavy equipment.
• Hazardous waste training completion within six months of employment or assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as lubrication, fueling and cleaning.
• Move and prepare sites for earthwork, landscaping, snow removal and related tasks.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
