Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is seeking a Landfill Laborer to maintain facility grounds and occasionally support other lines of business. You’ll perform mowing, trash pick-up, fence work, and odor control tasks while operating equipment and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, a self-motivated work ethic, and clear communication with staff and customers. Candidates may need to work outside in varying weather and overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility grounds upkeep including mowing and trash pickup.
• Build/repair fences and maintain odor control systems.
• Operate skid steer, sweeper, and fuel trucks as needed.
• Direct traffic around the landfill and interact professionally with customers.
• Assist with maintenance shop housekeeping and equipment service.
• Work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
