Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Georgetown, OH. You will safely operate multiple heavy machines, perform inspections, and support site projects including earth-moving, landscaping, and waste handling.

The role requires strong English communication and adherence to safety standards. You will work with a team to ensure efficient operations, maintain equipment, and support hazardous waste handling as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment such as excavator, backhoe, dozer, or similar equipment.
• Must pass written and operational tests for each piece of heavy equipment.
• Must read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand directions, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely (bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks) in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required paperwork.
• Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, fueling, cleaning).
• Assist with site preparation, earth moving, landscaping, snow removal and related tasks.
• Interact professionally with internal/external customers.
• Handle hazardous waste safely and adhere to safety procedures (specific to Boyd).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
