Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking an Operator II to join a 2–4-person crew and operate a mini excavator around live utilities. This role requires a CDL Class A and experience with heavy equipment on residential and commercial sites, following safety regulations and company standards.

You will read basic prints, perform equipment maintenance, and coordinate with teammates to excavate safely while maintaining required DVIRs and logs.

Qualifications

• One (1+) plus years of experience operating backhoe/mini excavator.
• Experience digging around underground utilities preferred.
• Three (3+) plus years in a construction role.
• CDL Class A required.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maneuvers, navigates, or drives vehicles or mechanized equipment.
• Inspects equipment, structures, or materials and reports defects.
• Maintains daily paperwork including DVIR and driver’s log book.
• Ensures truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance.
• Performs safety checks and follows DOT reporting procedures.
