Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy machinery at a recycling facility, landfill, or transfer station. The role emphasizes inspections, adherence to safety policies, and efficient handling of waste materials while maintaining equipment condition and accurate reporting.

The position requires at least two years of related experience, strong time management, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment across shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed safely.
• Ability to follow company safety standards and policies.
• Maintains equipment condition and reports needed repairs.
• Diligent in documenting inspections and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections per policy to ensure cameras, lights, and windows are clean.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer and front-end loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and monitor equipment condition to minimize downtime.
• Perform minor service on equipment and refer major issues for repair.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other required documentation.
• Follow all safety policies and keep the shop clean and organized after each shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain a positive work environment.
