Job summary

Scotty’s Contracting and Stone is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Heavy Civil Division. This safety-sensitive role operates loaders, backhoes, track hoes, haul trucks, and water trucks, while performing general labor tasks to support heavy civil site operations under a Foreman’s direction.

The position requires three years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience performing similar responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle report in good standing.
• Strong attention to safety and adherence to protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols.
• Follow direction from crew leader for assignments.
• Perform minor maintenance or refer major problems to Foreman/Shop Manager.
• Report hazards or issues promptly.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers.
• Complete required incident reports or site logs as prescribed.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Assist with other tasks to support job site operations.
