Job summary

Scotty’s Contracting and Stone is seeking a CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Heavy Civil Division, operating loaders, backhoes, haul trucks and water trucks and performing site tasks to keep projects moving.

This role requires a valid CDL and at least three years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork. We offer ESOP ownership, full benefits, opportunities for advancement, and an open-door management style.

Qualifications

• CDL required with valid license and clean MVR.
• Three years of experience performing similar responsibilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow safety protocols.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety regulations to minimize risk to workers and the public.
• Take direction from the crew leader for assignments and duties.
• Perform routine maintenance or escalate major problems to Foreman/Shop Manager.
• Maintain site logs and incident reports as required.
• Be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Collaborate with coworkers to ensure productive operation of tasks.
• Complete other physical tasks as needed to support the job site.
