Job summary

Scotty’s Contracting and Stone is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Heavy Civil Division. This safety-sensitive role operates loaders, backhoes, track hoes, haulers, and water trucks, and performs light maintenance and material handling on active job sites.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience performing similar responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety regulations and protocols.
• Take direction from crew leader for assignments.
• Perform minor maintenance or report major problems.
• Monitor site conditions and report hazards promptly.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers.
• Complete required documentation and logs.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Perform other physical tasks to maintain the job site.
