Job summary

Scotty’s Contracting and Stone seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Heavy Civil Division. The role is safety-sensitive and involves operating a variety of large construction equipment and performing general labor tasks on busy job sites under a Foreman.

You will work outdoors, follow strict safety protocols, and help with maintenance while coordinating with crew members. We value teamwork, promote from within, and offer competitive pay and full benefits with employee-ownership

Qualifications

• Three years of experience performing similar duties.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to minimize risk.
• Take direction from the crew leader for assignments and duties.
• Perform minor servicing maintenance or refer major problems to Foreman and Shop Manager.
• Remain aware of site conditions and report hazards promptly.
• Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and foster teamwork.
• Complete required documentation such as incident reports or site logs.
• Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Perform other physical tasks required to maintain the job site.
