Job summary

Scotty’s Contracting and Stone seeks a highly experienced CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator for our Heavy Civil Division. The role involves transporting materials and operating large construction equipment to support job sites.

Responsibilities include safe operation of loaders, backhoes, and haul trucks, plus on-site labor tasks as needed. Outdoors work in varying conditions with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL.
• Three years of experience performing similar responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a good standing motor vehicle report.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety regulations to minimize risk to workers and pedestrians.
• Take direction from the crew leader for assignments and duties.
• Perform minor maintenance or report major problems to Foreman/Shop Manager.
• Monitor site conditions and report hazards promptly.
• Maintain positive relationships and foster teamwork on site.
• Complete required incident reports and site logs per standards.
• Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Perform additional physical tasks to maintain the job site.
