Job summary

Scotty’s Contracting and Stone is seeking a highly experienced CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Heavy Civil Division. The role includes operating commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites, plus performing labor tasks to support site operations.

The candidate will operate large construction equipment such as loaders, backhoes, track hoes, haul trucks, and water trucks, with emphasis on safety and teamwork in an outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• CDL required for the role.
• Three years of experience performing similar responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety regulations to minimize risk.
• Take direction from crew leader for assignments.
• Perform minor maintenance or escalate major problems.
• Maintain positive relationships and report hazards promptly.
• Complete required site documentation per company standards.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Perform other physical tasks to support the job site.
