Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Georgia is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to bale and load waste materials into trailers at the Rockmart site.

You will inspect and maintain equipment daily, grease and check fluids, and operate multiple heavy machines with focus on safety and efficiency. The role requires the ability to follow instructions, lift up to 50 pounds as needed, and work outdoors 100% of the time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired but not required.
• Completion of forklift certification.
• Ability to obtain Transfer Station / Landfill Operations Certification if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to bale and load waste into trailers.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks.
• Grease, lubricate, and check fluids daily.
• Steer, guide, and operate listed equipment at site.
• Substitute for another operator as needed.
• Clean debris from tracks and gear mechanisms daily.
• Communicate via two-way radio about work activities and priorities.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain grounds and facility appearance.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
