Job summary

Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to operate bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment to clear sites for roads, airfields, or buildings. You’ll support a civilian-style construction mission while serving in the Army National Guard.

You will learn to level earth, perform site clearing, excavation, material spreading, and transport heavy gear. Training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training with pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Ability to read grade stakes and perform leveling.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Level earth for runways and roadbeds.
• Clear, excavate, and dig areas of construction sites.
• Spread fill material and transport heavy equipment.
• Move heavy building materials with cranes and assist in combat engineer missions.
