The National Guard seeks a Horizontal Construction Engineer to clear and prepare sites for roads, runways and buildings. You will operate bulldozers, roadgraders, and other heavy equipment, leveling earth and moving materials as part of mission tasks.

Your training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with paid instruction and tuition assistance available to support your civilian construction career.

Qualifications

• Operate heavy construction equipment to clear sites for roads, airfields, and buildings.
• Level earth and prep runways and roadbeds as part of construction missions.
• Learn and apply basic construction methods and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze grade stakes and place them accurately.
• Cut and spread fill material where needed on sites.
