Job summary

Standard Construction Co., based in Cordova, Tennessee, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate dozer, track hoe, front end loader and haul truck in an open pit mine. Candidates should have at least three years of equipment operation experience and be willing to travel up to 80% to various locations.

The role requires teamwork, adherence to OSHA/MSHA regulations, and the ability to follow foreman instructions for daily tasks and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Experience with Haul Truck, Bulldozer, Excavator or Loader preferred.
• Two to Five years loader operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in pit and mining operations
• Report any problems to your manager
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and co-workers
• Communicate with co-workers using hand signals or other movements
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations
• Follow Foreman directions for daily tasks
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment
• Conduct daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation
• Assist in training less-experienced employees
• Perform general labor duties when necessary
• Travel up to 80% of the time to various locations
