Standard Construction Company, Inc. in Cordova, TN is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator for an open pit mining environment.

You will operate Dozer/Track Hoe/Front End Loader/Haul Truck with at least three years of experience, and be prepared to travel up to 80% of the time to various sites. You will work in a team, report problems to management, and ensure a safe work environment following OSHA/MSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience operating heavy equipment such as Haul Trucks, Bulldozers, Excavators, Loaders.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow foreman instructions.
• Commitment to safety, OSHA and MSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment used in pit and mining operations.
• Report any problems to your manager.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers.
• Follow hand signals and clear communication when working with others.
• Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Follow foreman daily tasks and project expectations.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major problems to Foreman.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on operations and repairs.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary.
• Travel up to 80% of the time to various locations.
