Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc. is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for mine site operations in Mississippi. The role involves safe operation of heavy equipment, teamwork with co-workers, and adherence to OSHA/MSHA procedures.

You will follow foreman directions and perform basic maintenance and inspections. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of loader and heavy equipment experience, is able to travel 80% to different locations, and can pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Ability to pass drug screen and background check.
• Willing to travel up to 80% to different locations.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in pit and mining operations.
• Report any problems to your manager.
• Operator will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers.
• Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site.
• Perform daily pre– and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in training less–experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing and repair of equipment to further their abilities.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
