Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for Dozer/Track Hoe/Front end Loader/Haul Truck in our open pit mining operations.

The candidate must have at least three years of experience operating heavy equipment and be able to work in a team with supervisors and coworkers. This role requires adherence to OSHA/MSHA regulations, willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, and flexibility to work nights and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., Dozer, Track Hoe, Front end Loader, Haul Truck)
• Ability to work in a team environment with managers and co-workers
• Comply with OSHA/MSHA safety rules and company policies

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in pit and mining operations
• Report any problems to your manager
• Operator will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers
• When working with co-workers, maintain eye contact and communicate using signals
• Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each project/site
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major problems to Foreman
• Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with documentation
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on operations, servicing and repair
• Perform general labor duties when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
