Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join the MFC Maintenance team. You will operate road graders, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and trucks on a 4x10 schedule with Fridays off, supporting the maintenance of roads, grounds, and facilities to enable science.

Expect duties including rigging, pre-operational checks, and routine documentation. The role requires safety-first practices, ability to work in radiological areas with PPE, and full compliance with DOE standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of Equipment Operator experience
• Class A CDL with T, H, N endorsements
• US citizenship with ability to obtain DOE L security clearance
• Ability to operate multiple heavy equipment safely and efficiently

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for road, grounds, landfill, and facilities maintenance.
• Perform rigging tackle inspections per DOE STD 1090.
• Operate overhead and mobile cranes; perform load testing.
• Transport equipment and loads to meet INL mission objectives.
• Read drawings, review scope with customers, and provide progress updates.
