Job summary

Battelle Energy Alliance is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join the MFC Maintenance team in Idaho Falls. You will operate a range of heavy gear including road graders, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and trucks on a 4x10 schedule with Fridays off.

You will perform routine maintenance, rigging tasks, and job-site inspections, reading drawings, and coordinating with customers to ensure on-time, high-quality results. Safety, training, and compliance are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years equipment operation experience.
• US citizen with ability to obtain DOE L clearance.
• Must have Class A CDL with T, H, N endorsements.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and cranes safely.
• Read drawings and follow customers' scope and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for road, grounds, landfill, and facilities maintenance.
• Perform rigging inspections and operate overhead/mobile cranes.
• Read and interpret drawings; coordinate with customers to define job needs.
• Maintain equipment, safety compliance, and housekeeping.
• Complete administrative records and report progress to management.
