Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled equipment operator to safely and efficiently operate loaders, backhoes, trackhoes, haul trucks, water trucks, and related machinery. The role requires knowledge of trenching, utility locating, and proper barricading in excavation areas, with record-keeping of time and material usage.

You will work across job sites, support laborers when needed, and uphold safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior heavy equipment operation experience or training highly preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads between job sites.
