Job summary

Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division in Florida is seeking a Loader Operator to move and load materials within the asphalt plant area using heavy equipment. This role emphasizes safe operation, pre-operational checks, and accurate records of equipment usage.

You will support the Plant Manager with materials handling, coordinate equipment usage, and ensure compliance with safety rules while performing manual tasks as needed. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather and long hours.

Qualifications

• Three years of public works maintenance or construction experience with heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors, long hours and in adverse weather.

Responsibilities

• Operator heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth safely.
• Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assist Plant Manager in coordinating materials handling and equipment use.
• Record equipment usage and maintain basic operation reports.
