Qualifications

• Three years of public works maintenance/construction experience, including one year operating heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work long hours outdoors, occasionally in adverse weather.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic computations.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth and materials safely.
• Perform pre-operational checks on equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Assist Plant Manager in coordinating materials handling and equipment usage.
• Maintain records and prepare oral or written reports.
