Job summary

Preferred Materials - Asphalt, part of CRH Florida Division, is the leader in production of high-quality asphalt and related roadway services. The Loader Operator moves, loads and handles materials in the plant area using heavy equipment in outdoor settings and across site operations.

Responsibilities include pre-operational checks, coordination with the Plant Manager, and maintaining records. The role requires strong safety practices, arithmetic ability, and reliable teamwork in varying weather

Qualifications

• Three years of public works maintenance and/or construction experience.
• At least one year operating a variety of heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Assist Plant Manager in coordinating materials handling and equipment usage.
• Keep records and prepare oral or written reports as required.
• Perform simple arithmetic computations and communicate effectively.
