Job summary

Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division, part of CRH Southeast Division, is seeking a Loader Operator to move and load materials at the asphalt plant in Florida. You will operate heavy equipment such as front-end loaders and other machinery, perform pre-operation checks, and assist with materials handling under supervision.

Candidates should have several years of public works or construction experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in public works maintenance and/or construction work, one year operating heavy equipment.
• Must maintain a safe driving record and have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a team environment and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade materials safely.
• Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assist Plant Manager with materials handling and equipment usage coordination.
• Maintain records and prepare oral or written reports.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
