Job summary

CRH's Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division in Florida is seeking a Loader Operator to move and load materials at the asphalt plant using heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

The role requires experience with earth-moving machinery, pre-operational checks, and collaboration with Plant Manager, with a focus on safety, records, and teamwork in all outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in public works maintenance and/or construction; one year on heavy equipment.
• Must maintain a safe driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth and materials.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and perform routine maintenance.
• Assist Plant Manager in coordinating materials handling and equipment usage.
• Maintain safety standards and report on activities.
• Keep records and report orally or in writing.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and the public.
