Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, and drive trains.

The role supports drivers on route and works with state-of-the-art fleet equipment to ensure reliability. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of heavy-duty truck experience, strong diagnostic abilities, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and skilled proficiency in chassis, brake, engine and electrical systems.
• Performs complex repair and maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Diagnoses issues with scan tools and performs line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
