Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, and drive train. The role includes on-site and road service, with training on new technologies and equipment, contributing to safe, reliable service for drivers.

Must have 3–5 years of technician experience, with ASE certifications a plus and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a technician position with knowledge of gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 equipment.

Responsabilités

• Maintains a working knowledge of vehicle components and systems for preventative and repair maintenance on-site or on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance; refuse bodies and hydraulic/electrical systems; air/hydraulic braking systems.
• Light engine repair and maintenance; suspension and steering; heating and air conditioning.
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Provides road service as needed to keep equipment operational and safe.
