Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including truck chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, HVAC, and aftertreatment systems. You will diagnose multi-system issues and work on complex repairs on-site and on the road, with ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of heavy-truck experience, ASE certifications (T1–T8) and a valid CDL; strong diagnostics and welding skills are valued.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Able to inspect and repair heavy truck systems with minimal supervision in some areas.
• CDL and/or ASE Truck certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of, and strong skill proficiency in, vehicle components and systems, performing complex repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance; Refuse bodies; air/hydraulic braking systems; engine repair and diagnostics.
• Diagnostics of diesel fuel systems, Aftertreatment systems, REGEN and electrical systems; welding and fabrication.
