Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Columbus, OH. The role involves hands-on maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles on a second shift with a detailed schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and performs required repairs.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT and company compliance guidelines.
