Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Monroe, OH to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. You will work a 2nd shift from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with a Monday-Friday schedule and weekends off, and enjoy weekly pay plus comprehensive benefits.

The team uses state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools; a strong emphasis on safety, quality repairs, and customer service is central to the role. CDL-A is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work).
• Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience, preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Operates within safety and DOT guidelines.
