Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on the fleet to ensure trucks are safe and operational. You will work with maintenance schedules, review DVIRs, and keep precise records of work performed.

Qualifications include mechanical aptitude, ability to read repair manuals and schematics, and safety-conscious work habits.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot vehicle or component failure is required.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and systems is preferred.
• Experience repairing heavy trucks and diesel engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Check and replace fluids and filters; inspect safety devices and systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified for vehicle type.
• Maintain accurate records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
