Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain our fleet of trucks to keep them safe and operational. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing repairs per maintenance schedules, and documenting work timely.

You'll work outdoors in varying conditions, travel between sites as needed, and interact professionally with customers while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and systems preferred.
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and diesel engines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements on vehicles and equipment.
• Check, fill, and change fluids and filters.
• Inspect and overhaul vehicle support systems (electrical, air, brakes).
• Conduct roadside repairs when qualified.
• Ensure safety devices on vehicles are in good working order.
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
