Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of heavy civil construction projects in North Carolina, coordinating with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to deliver on time and within budget.

You will drive safety, financial performance, and project closeout while communicating risks and status to stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, estimating acumen, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management, estimating, or heavy civil operations.
• Experience with NCDOT, municipal, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project schedules, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate material flow, subcontractors, and field operations.
• Lead project estimating efforts, including scope development and cost analysis.
• Review contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure scope accuracy and risk mitigation.
• Track project costs, budgets, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Oversee billing processes, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Provide regular project updates, forecasts, and performance insights to leadership and clients.
