Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil construction to lead the full lifecycle of projects from estimating through closeout. You will collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to deliver safe, on-time, and on-budget results on active sites in North Carolina.

Ideal candidates have a degree in construction management or engineering and 5+ years of PM experience in heavy civil work, with familiarity of NCDOT projects and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management, estimating, or heavy civil operations required.
• Experience with NCDOT, municipal, or infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project schedules, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Manage project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
• Oversee billing processes, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Provide regular project updates, forecasts, and performance insights to leadership and clients.
• Serve as the primary liaison between field operations, subcontractors, and customers.
