Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Project Manager (Heavy Civil Construction) to lead the full lifecycle of construction projects, including estimating, planning, execution, financial performance, and closeout. You will liaison with general superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership and financial acumen, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management, estimating, or heavy civil operations required.
• Experience with NCDOT, municipal, or infrastructure projects strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety compliance per MSHA and OSHA.
• Lead project schedules, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate material flow, subcontractors, and field operations.
• Lead project estimating efforts, including scope and cost analysis.
• Review contracts, plans, and specs for scope accuracy and risk mitigation.
• Track costs, budgets, and financial performance for profitability.
• Oversee billing processes, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Provide regular project updates and performance insights to leadership and clients.
• Maintain liaison between field operations, subcontractors, and customers.
