Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, is seeking a skilled operator to safely run heatset machinery and support yarn conversion processes. You will thread, repair and stage tubes for winding, monitor quality during runs, and maintain accurate production records in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, health and safety training, and prior yarn/manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training including health and environmental safety training.
• Previous yarn or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heatset machinery to meet quality, production and efficiency goals.
• Thread and repair breakouts to maintain production standards.
• Identify yarn quality during production runs.
• Select and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Doff finished yarn packages as required.
• Maintain daily production records; run creeling and winding as needed.
• Check for material mixes using visual checks or tools where applicable.
• Attend training as directed by supervision and follow SOPs and safety rules.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
