Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, seeks a dedicated operator to safely run heatset machinery and manage finish applications in yarn conversion. You will help meet quality, production, and efficiency targets while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities include supporting creeling/winding, maintaining records, and complying with training requirements. Prior yarn/manufacturing experience is preferred in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of required on the job training.
• Successful completion of required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals.
• Function as a primary source of finish application in yarn conversion.
• Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards
• Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs
• Selects and stages tubes for winder operation
• Doffs off finished yarn packages as required
• Maintains daily production records
• Run both creeling and winding side when needed
• Uses black light to check there are no mixes
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
